Find and collect an item from nature outside

  • Ensure that the object is safe and small enough to bring into the classroom and place on your desk.

    No live animals, or dangerous objects

  • Sketch/draw your item.

  • Describe what your item looks like as if you are writing a letter, or talking to someone who is blind.

  • Use enough words and descriptive words to create a mental image of your item for the other person. e.g. the leaf was canary yellow

  • Use your iPad to research and find out about what you have, stick it on a page and label the various parts of your object
